What is a war crime?

A war crime is action during a war, which breaches basic standards of human behaviour or acceptability.

War crimes include:

	Torture
	Mistreatment of prisoners
	Execution of prisoners (except spies)

War crimes do not always include action against civilians or non-military targets.
